The Shelter is in need of sleeping bags, tents, and yoga mats. Item's need not be new. 

Donations can be made at HH Taylors (85 Railroad Street, New Milford, CT). 

About Us

Our Mission

The New Milford Homeless Shelter Coalition, Inc., along with its many volunteers and participating churches, believes that every person has the right to safe, affordable, and legal housing.  Our goal is to provide a safe emergency transitional shelter through winter months for those whose circumstances preclude such housing. 

Guest Information

The Shelter opens in November and remains open until April 

Check-in for guests is 8:30 PM to 8:45 PM 

Able to Accommodate 10 to 15 People Comfortably  

Shelters Rotates between St. Francis, St. John's and First Congregational Churches

No length of stay time limit

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Shelter is a 100% volunteer run organization. We are always in need of and rely on overnight volunteers (9:00pm - 6:00am). If you are interested please use the contact us page to inquire.
